FHIR prior-authorization AI agent
An agentic demo that runs a payer prior-authorization decision against a self-hosted FHIR R4 server. A LangGraph agent pulls the patient record, checks a deterministic coverage rule, retrieves supporting evidence with RAG, and has Claude write the rationale — never the decision. Synthetic patients only, no real PHI.

Agent-eval harness example
A deliberately trivial task (summarize an access log) used to demonstrate the actual point: automated, unattended grading for AI agents — an environment, a reference solution, and an independent pytest verifier that scores pass/fail without a human checking each answer.

HL7 to FHIR patient-identity reconciliation
An agent-eval task built on a real interoperability problem: reconcile patient identity across six hospitals and labs with no shared identifier, then transform 153 raw HL7v2 messages into a FHIR R4 bundle — quarantining, not dropping, anything that can't be safely resolved.

- Re-platformed device integration from Google Cloud to AWS, and modernized legacy systems into Spring Boot microservices.
- Built HL7 and ASTM device drivers, and REST APIs for iBus — the event-driven interoperability layer behind CareAware's clinical data pipeline.
- Shipped the industry's first automated PCA pump-to-EHR workflow integration, 25+ enhancements in a 60-day rapid prototype.
- Started out writing Core Java and Hibernate services for clinical device integration, and grew into technical leadership from there.
